For an elf who has spent a lifetime chasing ancient mysteries, love may be the greatest adventure yet.
Since his youth, Orinel Ferngrove explored temple ruins, wild jungles, and golden deserts where unicorns roam. Staying put has never suited him, and neither has letting anyone get too close, especially after one reckless night shattered his bond with his younger brother, Gaturo.
Then a lost elven temple reveals a mystery of the Swirlalu, a massive wandering whirlpool surrounded by sea serpents. It might just hold answers about the nature of magic and heal his old family wound. To reach it, he’ll need Clova, a beautiful, free-spirited river elf who can speak with the creatures through bell-dancing. But as the journey draws the two of them closer, keeping their feelings at a safe distance may prove harder than they expected.
With wonder as his compass, reckless courage, and a pair of sassy seavyrns, Ori sets sail with Clova. Yet the deeper he follows the mystery of magic, the more it leads him toward everything he spent decades avoiding: his brother, his heart, and whether a life of adventure has room for love after all.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Booksprout) Great new fantasy world!
I thoroughly enjoyed Song of the Sea Serpent. This was my first time reading about the fantasy world of Larune. I felt that the world the author created was well thought out, and the illustrations were excellent. I especially liked the way she combined familiar fantasy creatures with new creatures that were unique to her world. The suspense kept the story moving and made me want to keep reading. My favorite parts were when Ori protected special places and environments from those who wanted to destroy or ruin them. Overall, I thought Song of the Sea Serpent was an exciting and imaginative book, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy and adventure.
